Golden Triangle Haiku Poetry Contest 2021!

I stumbled upon this contest last year. Instead of using the standard 5-7-5 Haiku format, this contest uses contemporary structures.

Haiku is an ancient form of Japanese poetry. It is considered the shortest poetry form in the world as they are typically written in just three lines of verse (with a total of seventeen syllables) in 5-7-5 pattern. Haiku often references seasons and nature. For additional information about Haiku, you can learn more by going to the following link: https://haiku-poetry.org/what-is-haiku.html

This year's theme is: DAYDREAMS AND MUSINGS

Here are my entries:

HAIKU 1 eternal hope…

shifting wind

unseen but felt

HAIKU 2

A whirling sprinkler…

Laughter, fun and gaiety

childlike innocence

HAIKU 3

We are one—

Fragrantly melted confetti

unfettered by inclusion
